Fernando Santos is the cousin of fellow student Abner. Coming from La Campa, Lempira, Fernando is the older brother to 3 other siblings. This year, he and his father started building their family a new home. Each school break this year Fernando has returned to help lay another few layers of adobe (mud) bricks. Fernando is a quiet, deep thinking young man. He spends his time studying and enjoys writing. He has been an example to his classmates for his efforts academically and for his attitude in the activities and learning we offer at the project. Fernando was offered the role of mentor this year for his leadership and work ethic. Fernando is grateful for this opportunity to continue his education and is striving to be the top of his class.
