Oscar is a special case. He has attended a local church here in Santa Rosa de Copan for a number of years. He has had the opportunity to be a part of Mission UpReach programs but because of where his house is located it would mean an extensive walk to arrive at school everyday. He lives with his mother and they subsist on meager wages and selling bread on the side of the road. Oscar is a joy to be around and has the sincere desire to climb out of poverty and support his mother. It is difficult for him to be so close to his mom but unable to be with her and help her. But God has provided for them. His mother has now been attending the church that all the boys attend in order to spend time with her son and she has been able to find work. Oscar is eager to learn and to achieve what he needs to have success in the project and your sponsorship will allow him to remain where he has the opportunity to get ahead.
