Committed, humble, a desire to overcome. These are some of the many Maynor’s qualities. This youth decided to be apart from his family in order to pursue his dreams with the help of God through our program. We are glad to be a part of the personal, profession and spiritual formation of this young man. Before he was a part of this program, at his young age he worked at his father’s side, cultivating raspberry, passion fruit, corn and beans. During the coffee harvesting season, from November to February, he traveled to Copan, the neighboring departmento (state) to cut coffee. Through these means his family subsists. Scarce resources and opportunities in his childhood has given him a profound gratefulness and led him to show effective performance in our program. One of these deficiencies is the lack of opportunity to continue his education. He lives 12 km from the nearest educational center and due to the mountainous terrain, scarce economic resources, lack of public utilities and personal or public means of transportation he would not have been able to continue studying. With your sponsorship, you are investing into Maynor’s future. A talented young man who, despite being born into a challenging environment, dreams of a better future. By supporting his education, you are not only giving him the tools to achieve his goals, but you are also giving him the opportunity to inspire other young people in his community.
